On March 24th, 2024, the Mekong Salt Lab project team made a productive trip to Tra Vinh province. This visit served two key purposes: inspecting newly constructed solution models designed to combat saltwater intrusion and engaging with two of our champion farmers on the frontlines of this challenge.

The inspection of the solution models was a crucial step forward. These models represent months of dedicated research, development, and collaboration. The team examined four promising models:

• Vertical Hydroponics
  
• Floating Hydroponics
  
• Water Collection and Retention
  
• Water Treatment
  

By inspecting these models firsthand, the project team can assess their effectiveness, identify potential improvements, and gather valuable data for future iterations.
